Scope and Contents

The black money receipt book has dates from August 1934 to June 1935. The receipts are mostly issued to a person named Mrs. Bergetta Lowry, on account of rent.

The other two money receipt books are from the same maker, "American Favorite: Duplicating Money Receipts: No.41". One book has dates ranging from January 1931 to January 1937 and contains receipts issued to multiple persons. The last book has dates ranging from September 1940 to November 1940, and also contains receipts issued to multiple persons.

3 Volumes (Three paper money receipt books used by Ida Mae and James Edgar Murphy. ) : The first receipt book has a black cover and its maker is unknown. The other two receipt books were manufactured by a company called "National Money Receipts". The cover and spines of these two are brown, with burgundy lettering. ; The black money receipt book is approx. 18.6 cm x 7.5 cm x 1 cm. The second money receipt book is 20.3 cm x 7.5 cm x 1 cm. The final receipt book is 17.6 cm x 7.6 cm x 0.5 cm.
