Warranty deed features both types and handwritten notation. The warranty deed reads as follows:

Warranty Deed. H.C. Boyeson Co. Class 2. This Indenture, Made this 13th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, between Union Hall Association, a Corporation, of the County of Ramsey, and State of Minnesota; party of the first part, and Hallie Q. Brown House, a Corporation, of the County of Ramsey, and State of Minnesota; party of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Six Thousand One and no/100 ($6,001.00) DOLLARS, to it in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby Grant, Bargain, Sell and Convey unto the said party of the second part, its successors and assigns, FOREVER, all tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Ramsey and the State of Minnesota, described as follows, to wit: Lots Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18), Block Three (3), Mackubin and Marshall’s Addition to Saint Paul.

[Here there are two stamps, a green one for one dollar and a blue one for five dollars, both illustrated with a person in profile.] [Here there are three stamps, with various signatories, which read as follows] All Installments of Assessments due on the within property to date are paid October 7, 1937. Department of Finance. St. Paul, Minn. Axel F. Peterson, Com’r Finance. By [signatory].

Taxes paid and transfer entered October 7, 1937. Geo. J. Ries, Auditor, Ramsey County, Minn. By [signatory]. Taxes for the year 1986 on the lands described within PAID September 17, 1937. Elsa M. Obst, Treasurer. Ramsey County, Minn. Per [signatory].

To have and to hold the same, Together with all the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, unto the said party of the second part, its heirs and assigns, FOREVER. And the said Union Hall Association, a Corporation, party of the first part, for its successors, executors and administrators, does [illegible] with the said party of the second part, its successors and assigns, that it is well seized in fee of the lands and premises aforesaid, and has good right to sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid, and that the same are free from all incumbrances. And the above bargained and granted lands and premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, its successors and assigns, against all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof, the said part of the first part will warrant and defend. In testimony whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set its hand and seal the day and year first above written. Signed, Sealed, Delivered in the presence of J.Q. Crump and Geo L. 921454 Warranty Deed Union Hall Association, a Corporation, to Hallie Q. Brown House, A Corporation. Office of the Register of Deeds, County of Ramsey Minn. I hereby certify that the within instrument was filed in this office for record on the 9th day of October A.D. 1937 at 10 o’clock AM., and was duly recorded in Book 996 of Deeds on page 613. J.J. Gillen, Register of Deeds. By H.H. Hodgins, Deputy. Taxes paid and transfer entered this [left blank] day of [left blank]. County Auditor.

State of Minnesota, County of Ramsey. On this 13th day of September A.D. 1937 before me, a Notary Public Within and for said County, personally appeared Earl C. Walker and James E. Murphy to me personally known, who, being each by me duly sworn, did say that they are respectively the President and the Secretary of [the] Union Hall Association the corporation named in the foregoing instrument, and that the seal affixed to said instrument is the corporate seal of said corporation, and that said instrument was signed and sealed in behalf of said corporation by authority of its board of directors and said Earl C. Walker and James E. Murphy acknowledged said instrument to be the free act and deed of said corporation.

A typed memo housed with the abstract and warranty deed reads as follows:

September 13, 1937

For value received twe promise to pay to the Union Hall Association, a corporation, the sum of six Thousand Dollars, payable at St. Paul without interest, payable at the rate of One Hundred Dollars per month beginning the Fifteenth day of September, 1937 and each successive month thereafter until paid.

Hallie Q. Brown House, a Corporation. By [signed] J.W. Crump, president. [Signed] Mrs. Fred Morisse.
