Scope and Contents
Typed letter from the Hallie Q. Brown Teen Department to the St. Paul Sun regarding the Miss Hallie Q. Brown Queen Contest and Cornotation Ball. Letter reads as follows:
For immediate release. The Annual Miss Hallie Q. Brown Queen Contest and Coronation Ball will be held on Friday, February 23, at Hallie Q. Brown House at 7 P.M. The Dance will be held from 8 PM -12 PM.
The Miss Hallie Q. Brown Contest and Cornoation has been an outstanding event which involved the teenagers of the community since 1951. Something new has been added to the 1968 Coronation. In addition to the crowning of Miss Hallie Q. Brown and Junior Miss, there will be a talent show with prizes for first, second, and third place winners.
The Coronation and Talent Show is open to the public. The dance is limited to teenagers. The admission charge is one dollar for members and 1.50 for non-members.
