An excerpt from the obituary featured in the program reads as follows:

Antonio Garcia, originally born in Omaha, Nebraska June 27, 1921 to Francis and Pedro Garcia. He traveled and lived in Kansas and Cincinatti before settling down in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was known as "the Candy Man" to the children at New Beginnings Tabernacle with a sweet tooth of his own. He married Margaret Wilson on November 25, 1983. In his early years he once worked for the Great Northern Railroad but retired from the Flour City Press in which he worked for 19 years from September 25, 1967 to October 3, 1986.
