James Edagar Murphy, who sometimes went by the name Edgar, married Ida Mae in 1918.
James Edgar Murphy and Ida Mae Murphy had three children by the names of H. Janabelle, John and Richard. H. Janabelle also went by the names of Jane or simply Janabelle. John also went by the name Bud. Richard also went by the name Dick.
Janabelle married James Taylor. They had three sons by the name of Glenn, Lanny and Garry.

Janabelle was a progam director at Hallie Q. Brown Community Center for 20 years, as well as being a community activist throughout the Twin Cities.
