Scope and Contents
Paper envelope with handwritten letter, addressed to the School teachers at Hallie Q. Brown Nursery. It reads:
April 25, 1937. Dear Carol, Cecil, Ruth, Evaline, Vacation days have a way of sliding by without the letter being written than one planned. I have thought of you all, after, through, and of the delightful party that you all planned for me. Almost every day. [Illegible] new must come in and see the loose pile of lovely [illegible], each one nicer than the last, and every one experiences as your evening knowledge of my tastes. Thank you all so very much. I'm enjoying these lazy days a lot...if only I don't grow too fat for my wedding gown. Right now, we are enclosed in a very wintery blizzard which seems surely more like January than May. But maybe a spring will be along after while. [Illegible]. I'll be thinking of you all at the house party in May. Wish I could [illegible] in. Best wishes [illegible]. Esther N. Daley.
Letter was sent from Watertown, South Dakota. Stationery letterhead reads "Winifred Daley. 123 Fourth St. SE. Watertown, South Dakatoa.

From the Collection: 1.52 Linear Feet ((1 container) Unbound scrapbook made of paper and cardboard contains newspaper clippings, correspondence and black and white photographs.) : Original order for this scrapbook has been mostly destroyed. Scrapbook has been unbound and the majority of the pictures and papers glued to its pages have been separated, leaving only handwritten annotations to suggest what was once on each page. Few materials, including photographs, remain on the pages they were originally adhered to. ; varied.
