Ermine Allen was the daughter of S. Edward Hall, founder of the St. Paul Chapter of the NAACP and one of the founders of Hallie Q. Brown Community Center.

From the Collection: 1.52 Linear Feet ((1 container) Unbound scrapbook made of paper and cardboard contains newspaper clippings, correspondence and black and white photographs.) : Original order for this scrapbook has been mostly destroyed. Scrapbook has been unbound and the majority of the pictures and papers glued to its pages have been separated, leaving only handwritten annotations to suggest what was once on each page. Few materials, including photographs, remain on the pages they were originally adhered to. ; varied.
