Scope and Contents

Postcard from Maxine Schliek, addressed to the teachers at Hallie Q. Brown Nursery School. Graphic on the fron reads "Greetings from Washington, D.C.", and features several landmarks of the city. Handwritten note on the back reads:

Everything's grand here. So beautiful and refined. I'm not missing a thing and am busy. [Signed] Maxine Schliek.

From the Collection: 1.52 Linear Feet ((1 container) Unbound scrapbook made of paper and cardboard contains newspaper clippings, correspondence and black and white photographs.) : Original order for this scrapbook has been mostly destroyed. Scrapbook has been unbound and the majority of the pictures and papers glued to its pages have been separated, leaving only handwritten annotations to suggest what was once on each page. Few materials, including photographs, remain on the pages they were originally adhered to. ; varied.
