"Floating Worker Service Study." Hennepin County Welfare Council, 1959

 Item — Folder: 18, Folder: 4
Identifier: 001.18.04.03

Scope and Contents

Stapled booklet contains a sticker in the shape of a red feather on the cover. An excerpt reads as follows:

"Floating work is a new approach, a new attempt to modify the behavior of "youth in conflict." It is a departure from traditional work with such youth in its de-emphasis on groups coming into an agency, in its "reaching out" aspect and in its focus on close relationships with group members as a basis for modifying anti-social behavior.

[...] As a new approach, "floating work" is naturally open to question. People ask, "Is it effective? If so, how?"
